In October 2007,  John Lunt was in a simple church conference hosted by City on a Hill Connection in Fort Worth.  It was there, that the Lord spoke to John and told him to go down to Dallas every Saturday and start building relationships.

He started by taking socks and other small but needed items and passing them out to the Homeless.

He met George,Leonard, Larry and John S. all Homeless men.

Soon,  the Lord sent another brother Ben to help.

Ben brought in a sister in Christ, Kelly who also joined in to help serve.

Each week they would go around to the homeless and serve the homeless and tell them about Jesus.

In January 2007, the outreach became what is known as a simple church, called the Dallas Street Church.  It's a name that says what it means.  The church meets on the street every Saturday in Downtown Dallas.

In May, 2007,  the Dallas Street Church celebrated the baptism of two of it's members,  John S. and David in a COAH celebration.

The Dallas Street Church has experienced the dual joy and mourning as some of our own have left as they were reunited and restored to their families.

In 2007, the Dallas Street Church coordinated a Christmas with the Homeless Celebration where several simple churches came together and served over 200 homeless men and women.
